Members' Meetings

Monthly General Meetings are held at 2 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the Methodist Church, on Station Road, Cheadle Hulme, unless otherwise indicated.
Recent illustrated talks have included a History of Abney Hall.

Visit to Adlington Hall

A visit to Adlington Hall and gardens has been arranged for Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018.
There will be a guided tour of the Grade I listed Hall at 2p.m., and an opportunity to visit the garden.
As well as the many interesting and unique features of the Hall, including the Great Hall itself, which was completed by 1505 and contains the famous organ played by Handel, the gardens are one of the finest examples of a Rococo garden in the U.K., and at the end of May the laburnum arch should be in full bloom.
Guided tour of Hall: £8.50
Tea/coffee and cakes:£5.50
Car share to be arranged.

The Committee greatly appreciate, encourage and welcome initiatives from Members. If you wish to organise an event – such as a theatre visit or an outing – Pat Vermes will be happy to discuss it with you and provide a set of guidelines that have been drawn up specially to assist you in arranging a successful event.
