Play Reading

The Play Reading Group unfortunately folded last year, but Leader David Greenfield is anxious to start the group again, and would love to hear from anyone interested in joining it.
It is for anyone interested in the theatre who would like to read through a play without having to learn a part or appear on stage. Meetings were held on the third Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in the homes of members, with the play to be read usually being selected by the host. The result has been a wide variety of plays, usually with good parts for everyone, even if we needed to re-cast the play between the acts. The previous season included “The Accrington Pals” by Peter Whelan, as well as plays by Alan Ayckbourn and a selection of one-act plays.
Membership may well be limited by the number of people who can reasonably be accommodated in members’ homes.
To express your interest in joining, please email David Greenfield by clicking on this link, or via the Contact Page on this website, using the subject line U3A Play Reading Group..
