Photography Group

Cheadle Hulme U3A

The club welcomes all abilities of individuals and meets on the second Tuesday of each month at Café Unity, in Heald Green.
At the meetings we discuss and try and resolve each others' photographic problems, as well as talks on various photographic issues.
We also have a monthly field trip to take photographs as a group within the Greater Manchester area, to improve our photographic talents and to put into practice techniques we have learned at the monthly meetings.
Each member posts a number of their photos taken on field trips on Facebook page
U3ACH Photo Club; for all to see and comment. Please feel free to visit the page and view our efforts on previous trips.
Trips are planned on a monthly basis for the forthcoming month.
The cost is of each meeting at Café Unity is £3 per session (to cover room hire), paid to the café at their till. Tea and coffee can be purchased and taken upstairs before we start, if you wish, or during the meeting.
Come and join us. No prior appointment is required.
To join us, please contact the Group Leader for details of the next meeting.

Forthcoming Field Trips

Photography Group Field Trip
Friday, January 19th

This month’s field trip of the Photography Group will be to Sale Water Park, where there will be opportunities for various winter outdoor shooting. The meeting will be on Friday, January 19th, at 9.45 to 10.00am. Meeting place is the café at the east entrance, which, apart from Decker’s Restaurant, is the only one there.
If the weather proved too foul, we are planning to go on to Waterside Arts Centre, where there is an exhibition of materials from Cosgrove Hall, the Manchester animation company. They were responsible for such classics as Dangermouse, Bill and Ben the Flower Pot Men, Noddy, and many more, so there should be ample photo opportunities there. You don’t have to be a regular member of the group to join us; just turn up with your camera and start shooting.
