Music Appreciation

We are a very friendly small group of people interested in all types of music. We meet in members' houses in the afternoon of the third Monday of each month for a presentation of recorded music by one of the members.
We actively encourage discussion at our meetings, which adds to the enjoyment, and there is no pressure to give presentations.
New members are very welcome.
To join us please contact the Group Leader for details of the next meeting.

An invitation from the Institute of Physics to attend “What’s time? – explore with music, physics and psychology” — a free event on Tuesday 10th April from 4 – 6pm at the Google Digital Garages in Manchester.

Join musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music, scientists and psychologists from the University of Manchester to explore the passage of time in music, physics and psychology. With a mix of live music, short talks and drama, you’re sure to come away with a very different view of what time actually is and how our idea of how quickly it passes might just depend on your age or even what kind genre of music you’re listening to…
This event is free to attend and requires no prior knowledge – we only ask that you are over 16 and are open to participating with people of all ages and backgrounds! You may register here and please do share amongst your friends and family.
The venue is Google Digital Garages, 39-43 King Street, Manchester.
