Italian Group

Cheadle Hulme U3A

Italian

The Italian Group aims to meet every two weeks (except during the main holiday seasons) on Friday afternoons. We meet in members' homes.
We are lucky to have a professionally qualified retired teacher of Italian as our leader. With her help and guidance we work mainly from a textbook learning grammar and vocabulary and additional material is supplied by her for listening and comprehension practice. To benefit fully from the classes members are expected to do the homework set which mainly consists of written and listening exercises from the text book and to prepare answers for oral work. Sometimes there are also a few pages of an "Easy Reader" to read and be able to translate.
The group is now at an intermediate level and is therefore not suitable for a complete beginner. The group now has as many members as we can accommodate and cannot therefore admit new members at present.  However, If you would like to go on a waiting list in case a vacancy occurs in the future please contact the Group Leader whose number is in the printed newsletter.
