Family and Social History Group

Cheadle Hulme U3A

Family and Social History

Unless otherwise stated, we meet on the afternoon of the last Friday of each month at the Cheadle Hulme Quaker Meeting House on Station Road.
At our meetings, from 2 p.m., we offer advice and suggestions to those members with personal family history research problems. This is of particular help to beginners or those who have hit a “brick wall”.
After this we move on to the topic of the month. The idea is that those participating will bring to the session any knowledge or experiences they have perhaps from their own family history research or other enquiries. We seek to widen our knowledge of the topics by sharing information and discussion. We hope this will be of interest to a wider range of members of the U3A.
If you would like to join the group, then please contact the Group Leader. Group members should let the Leader know if they are planning to attend a meeting.

Meetings are held at 2 p.m. usually on the last Friday of each month at the Cheadle Hulme Quaker Meeting House on Station Road.

To join us please contact the Group Leader for details of the next meeting.

News

Sadly, the May meeting will be the last for this group.
Gillian has been unable to find a new leader for some time now, so is reluctantly having to let the group go.
UNLESS someone steps in quickly to take it over!
If you have an interest in the group and its subject, please contact Gillan directly, or use the Contact Form on this website to send a message. Please use the subject heading 'Family and Social History Group'. We'll make sure Gillian gets your message quickly.
