The Third Age Trust
The University of the Third Age (U3A) movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides, through its local U3As, life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities. Retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together, not for qualifications, but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery!

Members share their skills and life experiences: the learners teach and the teachers learn, and there is no distinction between them.

The U3A movement is supported by its national organisation, the Third Age Trust. For more information on the Trust, please see the Links page.
Hovering your mouse over any item on the rolling news screen will temporarily stop it moving on to the next item. It will continue once you move your mouse away.
Notice of E.G.M.
An Extraordinary General Meeting will be held on Thursday 7th June at 2pm prior to the Monthly Meeting.
The purpose of the E.G.M is to adopt a new Objects Clause approved by the Charity Commission and the Third age Trust.
This reads: ‘The advancement of education and, in particular, the education of older people and those who are retired from full-time work by all means, including associated activities conducive to learning and personal development’.
Please do your best to attend.

In the video below, Pam Jones, National Chairperson of the U3A, explains what the U3A is, what it does, and why you would enjoy being a member.
